LEWISBURG, Pa. – Remaining unbeaten in Patriot League play, the Boston University men's tennis team claimed a 4-2 victory at Bucknell on Sunday afternoon.

The Terriers (15-7, 3-0 PL) won two of three doubles matches for the first point and then captured three singles points, including a pair in straight sets, as the Bison (11-5, 1-1 PL) suffered their first home loss for a 6-1 mark at the Varsity Tennis Courts.

Sophomore Jakob Esterowitz went 2-0 to lead BU, first teaming with junior Adrian Pawlowski for a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles and then pulling out a 7-5, 7-6 thriller on court 2 in singles.

The Bison put the doubles point up for grabs with a 6-2 victory in the top slot. Seniors Jonah Dickson and Johann Sajonz though grabbed the early 1-0 lead for the Terriers by finishing one break ahead in a 6-4 win at line 3.

Bucknell quickly jumped on the scoreboard with a 6-1, 6-1 win on court 6, but freshman Gustavs Dambins earned the second Terrier point by rolling to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at line 2.  

BU claimed its third point off Esterowitz's racquet at line 2, and the Bison pulled out a second-set tiebreaker in a 6-2, 7-6 decision on court 3. 

Sophomore Corey Craig sealed the team victory by running away in the third set for a 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 win over fellow 2023 All-Patriot League First Team member, Amar Tahirovic.

BU will next visit Holy Cross on Friday (April 5) for a 4p.m. start time.
