No. 16/15 Men’s Lacrosse to Host Lafayette for Senior Day

The No. 16/15 Boston University men's lacrosse team returns to Patriot League play as it hosts Lafayette for Senior Day on Saturday (April 13). Game time at Nickerson Field is set for 1 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets by clicking here and the game will also be streamed live on ESPN+.

Prior to the game, BU will honor its seven-member senior class: Tim Barrett, Tommy Bourque, James Corcoran, Dane DeGoler, Brian Garrity, Mario Hemann and Tommy Jepson.

Fans attending the game can enjoy a food truck and a beer garden.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU enters its final three conference games with a 4-1 Patriot League record, which has the Terriers tied for first with Navy and Colgate.
  • The Terriers most recently lost at home to No. 8/9 Yale, 18-16, on Tuesday.
  • Graduate student Vince D'Alto scored four goals en route to becoming the program's all-time leading goal scorer.
  • He enters Saturday with 156 career goals.
  • Graduate students Louis Perfetto (3g, 2a) and Jake Cates (1g, 4a) totaled five points apiece against Yale.
  • Cates is now two points away from 100 for his career.
  • Perfetto is fifth in the nation in points per game (5.36) and also leads the Patriot League in assists per game (2.45) and goals per game (2.91).
  • Graduate student Roy Meyer totaled three caused turnovers and seven ground balls on Tuesday.
  • He is tied with junior faceoff specialist Matthew Fritz for the team lead in ground balls (44) and is second on the squad with 17 caused turnovers.
HISTORY AGAINST THE LEOPARDS
  • BU is 9-0 all-time against Lafayette, including the first win in program history on March 15, 2014, in Easton, Pa.
  • Four of those victories have come at Nickerson Field, including a 21-11 triumph in 2022.
  • Last season's matchup, a 12-10 BU road win, was the closest game the teams have played in the all-time series.
  • BU has averaged 15.0 goals per game in its nine victories against the Leopards.
SCOUTING THE LEOPARDS
  • Lafayette enters Saturday 4-6 overall and 1-5 in Patriot League play.
  • The Leopards have lost three straight games, including a 10-9 home loss to Navy last weekend.
  • Senior Charlie Cunniffe leads Lafayette with 39 points.
  • Cunniffe and classmate John Mathes pace the Leopards with 23 goals apiece while Cunniffe also leads the team with 16 assists.
  • Senior Tommy McGee leads Lafayette with 12 caused turnovers and is third on the squad with 21 ground balls.
  • Junior Evan Prince is 97-of-180 (.539) at the faceoff X with a team-high 51 ground balls.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Joe Doherty has started all 10 games for the Leopards, posting a .511 save percentage and a 12.55 goals-against average.

  • BU will begin a two-game road stretch to end the regular season on Saturday, April 20, when the Terriers travel to Lehigh.
