MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - In a final tune-up before next weekend's Patriot League Championship, the Boston University women's golf team posted a 16.5-4.5 win over Holy Cross in match play on Sunday at Wanumetonomy Golf Club.
Six of the seven Terriers earned wins in the Nassau format with each match being worth three points - one for the front nine, one for the back nine and one point for the total. The other matched was halved.
Freshmen
Amy Han, playing in the No. 2 spot, and
Madison Takai, playing in the No. 7 spot, each posted 3-0 wins over their Crusader counterparts.
Juniors
Meiqi Gao (No. 3) and
Victoria Takai (No. 5) both secured wins by a score of 2.5-.5 while junior
Christy Chen (No. 1) and freshman
Hibiki Adachi (No. 6) each recorded a 2-1 victory.
Sophomore
Annika Manjunath tied her Holy Cross competitor with 1.5 points apiece at the No. 4 slot.
The Terriers and the Crusaders will return to action on April 18-20 at the Patriot League Championship, which will be held at the Bucknell Golf Club.
