GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Boston University women's golf team finished in 11th place at the Ironwood Invitational, a 54-hole tournament hosted by East Carolina at Ironwood Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Terriers posted a 918 (+54) with scores of 309-311-298. Tuesday's final-round mark of 298 was third-best among the 15 teams.
Junior
Christy Chen was BU's top finisher, closing with a 1-under 71 to finish in a tie for 17th at +10. She rebounded on Tuesday after posting rounds of 76 and 79 on Monday and moved up 25 spots on the leaderboard.
Freshman
Amy Han finished one stroke behind Chen at plus-11, recording a score of 227 (78-74-75) to finish in a tie for 22nd.
Junior
Meiqi Gao was tied for 46th for the tournament, carding rounds of 78, 79 and 75 to finish plus-16 while sophomore
Annika Manjunath was two strokes behind Gao, tying for 54th at plus-18 (77-79-78--234).
Competing as an individual, junior
Victoria Takai put together a strong effort on Monday, carding a 76 and a 77 before shooting an 81 on Tuesday to finish tied with Manjunath for 54th.
Freshman
Hibiki Adachi improved each round, closing with a 77 on Tuesday after scores of 80 and 79 on Monday. She finished tied for 61st at plus-20.
The Terriers will return to action on April 12-13 when they head to Connecticut to compete in the Hartford Hawks Invitational at Tumble Brook Country Club.
