Madison Takai of the Boston University women's golf team has been named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Takai took medalist honors at the season-opening SHU Fall Classic, turning in a 3-over 219, highlighted by a 2-under 70 in the second round, to win the tournament by four strokes over her sister and teammate, senior
Victoria Takai.
BU won the team title by 52 strokes taking up the top four spots on the leaderboard with senior
Christy Chen and sophomore
Amy Han placing third and fourth, respectively, behind the Takai sisters.
Madison Takai's best finish last year was a 13th-place showing at the Bucknell Invitational, where she posted a season-best round of 71.
