BOSTON – For the third consecutive season, the Boston University men's soccer team and Boston College competed through 90 minutes of action to a stalemate with the latest Battle of Comm Ave. installment finishing in a 1-1 draw on a windy Tuesday night at Nickerson Field.

Damola Salami broke the scoreless deadlock in the 81st minute for the Terriers (1-2-6), and the Eagles (3-2-4) netted the equalizer off Diego Ochoa's foot in the 86th minute. Junior
Sheraz Saadat recorded five saves in his scarlet & white debut, while BC's Brennan Klein had three saves of his own.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After helping clear BC's first corner in the fourth minute, the Terriers earned consecutive corners during the sixth minute.
- Graduate student Aidan Bone though had this shot attempt blocked, and Salami's attempt went over the crossbar.
- Saadat made his first two saves at 21:05 and 24:58, respectively.
- Sophomore Andrea Di Blasio intercepted a pass from Klein at the top of the box and ripped a shot to force a diving stop from Klein at 26:03.
- The teams left the field at the half in a scoreless deadlock with BU successfully defending against seven BC corners.
- BU kept the pressure on to start the second half, earning a corner kick at 46:23 and later forcing another save by Klein at 51:29.
- The teams went back-and-forth for most of the half until Salami broke the stalemate by firing a 12-yard shot for a 1-0 lead that was set up by freshman Markus Ramsey, who received a diagonal pass from Di Blasio and then sent a cross toward Salami.
- The Terriers earned a corner in the 83rd minute, but the Eagles were able to clear the ball.
- BC earned a free kick near a corner flag, and Diego Ochoa was able to curl a shot inside the far post to tie the game, 1-1.
- Neither squad was able to attempt a shot over the final four minutes.
GAME NOTES
- Salami joined Di Blasio at a team-high two goals and five points.
- Ramsey and Di Blasio expanded the group of Terriers with at least one assist and one goal to seven total.
- Sophomore Charlie Tuckerman and Saadat were the only Terriers to play all 90 minutes.
- The Eagles finished with a 13-8 advantage in shots and 8-6 edge in corners.
- BC is now 29-18-12 all-time in the series with the teams finishing in a draw four of the last six meetings.

- BU will resume Patriot League play by visiting Lehigh on Saturday for a 6 p.m. start.
- The Terriers won the last two contests, both held at Nickerson Field, with an identical score of 2-0.
