ALLSTON, Mass. — The Boston University men's tennis team lost a 7-0 decision to Navy at the Harvard Murr Tennis Center on Sunday.
The Terriers (0-8, 0-1 PL) had two matches go to a third set tiebreak, but could not pull out a match win against the Midshipmen (14-13, 2-0 PL). BU was only to field five players and began the match down 1-0 due to a default win for Navy at sixth singles.
BU was swept in doubles, but went to a tiebreak at singles lines one and two. One line one, senior
Gabe Brown won his first set 6-4 before dropping the second set 2-6 and eventually losing the 10-point tiebreak, 10-5.
Junior
Cole Knutsen lost 2-6 in his first set before taking a close second set, 7-5. In the tiebreak, Knutsen fell 3-10 to his opponent.
The Terriers will next travel to Holy Cross on Saturday, March 29 for an 11 a.m. match against the Crusaders.
