BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Boston University women's golf team wrapped up play at the Patriot League Championship on Sunday, posting a score of 307 in the final round to finish second behind champion Navy at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Junior
Annika Manjunath was BU's top finisher, placing fourth at 9-over (73-76-76) to earn All-PL First Team honors. Senior
Christy Chen (76-78-77) and sophomore
Amy Han (81-75-75) tied for seventh at 15-over and were named to All-PL Second Team.
BU's fourth score on Sunday came from senior
Victoria Takai, who posted a 79 to finish at 20-over (80-77-79) and end up tied for 14th.
Manjunath had three birdies on Sunday while Chen, Han and Takai all had two apiece. Chen and Takai, this year's co-captains, played the final round of their collegiate careers.
Sophomores
Madison Takai (83-82-84) and
Hibiki Adachi (85-78-87) finished a shot apart at plus-33 and plus-34, putting them tied for 24th and tied for 26th, respectively.
Chen earned all-league honors for the fourth straight season while Manjunath was a repeat first-team honoree. Han collected All-PL accolades for the first time after earning rookie of the year recognition at last year's conference tournament.
BU has now finished second at the Patriot League Championship in three straight seasons. Bucknell rounded out the top three, 11 strokes behind the Terriers.Â
