The No. 8/3 Boston University men's ice hockey team will continue its quest for a sixth national title when the Terriers face No. 12/5 Penn State in the second semifinal at the 2025 Frozen Four in St. Louis, Missouri. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT
Thursday's game will be televised live on ESPN2 and streamed on ESPN+, with fans in Canada able to watch on TSN+. In addition, an audio-only broadcast will be located here.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is playing in the Frozen Four for the third straight year and 25th time overall, which is tied for second with Boston College and just three behind Michigan (28).
- This is the Terriers' 40th NCAA tournament appearance (25 in last 35 tournaments), which ranks third all-time (Minnesota has 42 and Michigan has 41).
- BU enters Thursday's game with an all-time record of 49-40-0 (.551) in NCAA tournament play.
- The Terriers advanced to St. Louis thanks to two wins in the NCAA Toledo Regional - an 8-3 triumph over then-No. 9 Ohio State and a 3-2 overtime victory over then-No. 16 Cornell.
- Freshman Cole Hutson, the Most Outstanding Player in Toledo, leads all NCAA Tournament skaters with six points (2g, 4a), including four points (1g, 3a) in the regional semifinal.
- Hutson, the Hockey East and New England Rookie of the Year, is first among NCAA rookies in both points (46) and assists (32).
- Hutson also leads all NCAA defensemen in points per game (1.24).
- Junior Quinn Hutson has a team-best 50 points (23g, 27a) and enters Saturday tied for second in the NCAA with 1.39 points per game.
- Hutson was the overtime hero against Cornell, scoring his team-leading 23rd goal of the season just 6:25 into the extra period.
- He is one of just eight skaters to have notched 20+ goals and 25+ assists this season, and he reached those two marks in the fewest amount of games (32) than the other men to accomplish that feat.
- BU enters the weekend ranked fourth in the NCAA and first in Hockey East on the power play (28.4%).
- That includes a 2-for-3 mark across two Hockey East playoff games and a 2-for-5 mark in two regional games.
- BU has also been sharp on the penalty kill during the second half of the season.
- Since Jan. 1, the Terriers are sixth in the NCAA and first in Hockey East with an 86.4% success rate on the PK.
- Freshman Mikhail Yegorov enters the weekend ranked seventh in the nation in save percentage (.931) and has gone 6-1-1 in his last eight starts.
HISTORY WITH PENN STATE
- This is the first-ever meeting between BU and Penn State.
- The Nittany Lions are making their first-ever Frozen Four appearance in their 12th season in Division I.
SCOUTING THE NITTANY LIONS
- Penn State hosted the NCAA Allentown Regional as the No. 4 seed, defeating Maine, 5-1, in the regional semifinals before earning a 3-2 overtime win over UConn in the regional final.
- Sophomore Matt DiMarsico was the overtime hero against UConn, as his 17th goal of the season sent PSU to St. Louis.
- Sophomore Aiden Fink leads the Nittany Lions in goals (23), assists (30) and points (53) while freshman Charlie Cerrato is second on the squad in both assists (27) and points (42).
- Junior goaltender Arsenii Sergeev is 19-8-4 in 32 starts with a 2.56 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.
- Sergeev, a transfer from UConn, is 0-3-0 in three appearances against BU, including a 6-1 defeat on Feb. 23, 2024.
