HOW IT HAPPENED
- Providence struck first just 7:00 into the proceedings with a power-play goal and added another on its second man advantage of the period at the 11:32 mark.
- BU had back-to-back power plays of its own at the end of the period but was unable to break through, with Eiserman coming closest to getting a goal back with a shot that rang the left post.
- Eiserman eventually found the back of the net just 3:14 into the second stanza. Svoboda won an offensive-zone draw directly to Eiserman who quickly fired home his ninth goal of the season.
- Lawrence equalized just 28 seconds into the third period. He dangled through a defender in the neutral zone and skated up the left wing into the offensive end. He evaded a backchecking Friar and uncorked a shot that beat Jack Parsons (15 saves) short side over the blocker.
- Yegorov kept the game tied with 14:08 left in the third when he denied Clint Levens' penalty shot attempt.
- Providence regained its lead at the 11:40 mark of the third but Eiserman answered just 1:09 later. In a similar play to the first goal, Svoboda won an offensive-zone draw back to Eiserman, who quickly fired the puck past Parsons.
- The Friars took advantage of a turnover in the BU zone to take the lead for good in the final minutes and then benefited from a penalty call with just 1:51 on the clock that effectively iced the game.
- Eiserman became the first Terrier to reach double digits in goals this season.
- Lawrence is the eighth different Terrier freshman to light the lamp this year.
- Yegorov has turned aside both penalty shot attempts he has faced this season.
- This was Svoboda's second multi-assist game of the year, with his first coming during a four-point night (2g, 2a) at Maine on Nov. 1.
- BU and Providence will conclude this weekend's series on Saturday at Agganis Arena.
- Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
