The No. 18 Boston University men's ice hockey team will continue its 104th season this weekend when they play a home-and-home series against No. 11 Providence. The teams will face off in Rhode Island on Friday at 7 before skating at Agganis Arena on Saturday. Puck drop on ESPN+ for both tilts is scheduled for 7 p.m. An audio-only broadcast for both games will be located here.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers went 2-1-0 in three games last week, including a weekend split with UMass Lowell.
- BU bounced back from Friday's 4-3 overtime loss at Agganis to shut out the River Hawks, 3-0, on Saturday in Lowell thanks to 23 saves from sophomore Mikhail Yegorov.
- That was Yegorov's second shutout of the month; he also held UMass scoreless in Amherst on Jan. 9.
- He is 3-1-0 in five January starts, posting a .954 save percentage and a 1.08 goals-against average since the calendar flipped to 2026.
- Sophomore Cole Hutson scored Saturday's game-winner at Lowell and had the primary assist on classmate Nick Roukounakis' insurance goal in the third period.
- Hutson was announced as the Terriers' Hobey Baker Award nominee on Wednesday.
- He leads all NCAA defensemen with 1.05 points per game, totaling 23 points on eight goals and 15 assists.
- Hutson also paces all blue liners with four game-winning goals.
- Junior Jack Harvey scored the Terriers' seventh shorthanded goal of the season on Friday against UMass Lowell.
- Only St. Thomas (10) has more shorthanded goals this season than BU.
HISTORY WITH PROVIDENCE
- This weekend's series will be the will be the 201st and 202nd meetings between BU and Providence in a series that started during the 1926-27 season.
- The Terriers lead the series, 120-60-20 (.650).
- That includes a 19-5-5 record at Agganis Arena.
- BU has not lost to Providence at Agganis Arena since the 2018-19 season.
- The Terriers are 10-1-1 in their last 12 matchups with the Friars dating back to the 2020-21 campaign.
- BU has shut out PC on 20 occasions while only being blanked six times.
SCOUTING THE FRIARS
- Providence is coming off a weekend sweep of Boston College, earning a 4-3 overtime win in Chestnut Hill last Friday before winning by the same score in regulation at home on Saturday.
- The Friars have won four in a row and seven of their last eight contests.
- Freshman Roger McQueen leads Providence with 19 points on eight goals and a team-best 11 assists.
- McQueen and classmate Julius Sumpf both pace Providence with 11 helpers apiece.
- Sophomores Logan Sawyer (9g, 9a) and John Mustatd (9g, 8a) are tied for the team lead with nine goals apiece.
- Freshman netminder Jack Parsons has won all four of his starts since taking over for the injured Philip Svedbäck.
- Parsons is 4-1-0 overall this season with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.
