No. 19/20 Terriers to Host Dartmouth Sunday on NESN, ESPN+

The No. 19/20 Boston University men's lacrosse team will host Dartmouth at Nickerson Field on Friday for the Terriers' home opener. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
Sunday's game is the Terriers' annual Pride game and is also part of City of Boston Week. The game will be televised on NESN and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU improved to 1-1 in its home opener on Feb. 6, as the Terriers defeated Siena, 23-7.
- It was the 100th win in program history and the 100th Division I win for head coach Ryan Polley.
- Sophomore Timothy Shannehan was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week after he recorded 11 points on five goals and six assists.
- The 11 points is second all-time in program history for a single game and it's the most by a Division I men's lacrosse player in a game this season.
- Shannehan was also named to the Tewarraton Award Watch List earlier this week.
- Freshman Peyton Forte recorded four points in just his second collegiate start last week against Siena, notching three goals and one assist.
- Senior Sam Burns also totaled a career-high four points against the Saints, collecting two goals and two assists.
- Sophomore Murphy McLaughlin had a fantastic day, as he scored his first collegiate goal in addition to setting career highs with three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- BU entered the weekend second in the nation in caused turnovers per game (13.50), fifth in ground balls per game (41.0) and fifth in opponent clear percentage (.717).
- The Terriers forced Siena into 11 failed clears last week.
HISTORY AGAINST DARTMOUTH
- BU is 2-0 against the Big Green, with both wins coming at Nickerson Field.
- The Terriers defeated Dartmouth, 15-8, in 2019 and also earned a 10-4 win in 2018.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
- Sunday's game will be Dartmouth's season opener.
- The Big Green went 8-5 last year, including a 2-4 record in the Ivy League.
- Dartmouth returns leading scorer Thomas Power, who enters his senior year as a preseason All-American.
- He led the team in assists (28) and points (54) last season to go with 26 goals.
- The Big Green's third through eighth leading scorers also return, including senior Emmett Paradine (24 points) and sophomore Alex Jessey (21).
- Defensively, senior and All-Ivy defenseman Thomas Goguen anchors the defensive core after tallying 49 groundballs and a team-leading 22 caused turnovers last season.
- Sophomore faceoff specialist Spencer Reagan returns after garnering second team All-Ivy during his rookie campaign.
- Junior Ryan Williamson is the only goalkeeper who saw any time last season, though he played just 21:41 across four appearances.
