TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU can finish either fifth or sixth in the Hockey East standings.
- To finish fifth and earn a bye to the quarterfinals, the Terriers need to earn two more points than Maine; the Black Bears visit Vermont on Saturday night.
- If BU finishes sixth, the Terriers will host Vermont in an opening-round game on Wednesday, March 11, at Agganis Arena.
- They still have a chance to earn that desired quarterfinal bye thanks to last weekend's sweep of Boston College.
- Hockey East Goaltender of the Week Mikhail Yegorov was the No. 1 star in both games, stopping 52 of the 54 shots he faced on the weekend.
- Hockey East Defender of the Week Cole Hutson recorded two of his three assists on the weekend during Saturday's 5-1 win, including the primary assist on the game-winning goal.
- Hutson is first among Hockey East blue liners with nine goals and 30 points in addition to being second among Hockey East defenders with 21 assists.
- Sophomore Cole Eiserman and junior Jack Harvey scored a goal in both games.
- One of Harvey's goals came shorthanded; he is now tied for second in the nation with three shorthanded strikes.
- Eiserman leads BU with 15 goals, having lit the lamp in three straight games and five of his last six appearances.
- Freshman Ben Merrill tallied two goals in Saturday's win, including a shorthanded goal.
- Junior captain Gavin McCarthy assisted on Merrill's shorthanded goal and then broke a 1-1 tie with his third marker of the season.
- Freshman Tynan Lawrence, sophomore Kamil Bednarik and freshman Charlie Trethewey each recorded an assist in both wins.
