Former Terrier standout Eric Ashe joined the Boston University cross country staff as as a volunteer assistant coach in 2011 and enters his third season on the staff in 2013. Ashe is one of the most decorated harriers to have raced in a BU uniform.
Ashe, a native of Hanson, Mass., helped lead the Terriers to their first America East championship in 2010 with a second-place finish. He was also a team captain and team MVP. His personal bests include 4:03 for the mile, 8:05 for 3000 meters, and 8:51 for the steeplechase.

AS A GRADUATE STUDENT IN 2010
Finished first among BU runners in each of his races ... Helped the Terriers win the America East championship for the first time since 2000 with a second-place finish (24:22.29) ... Won the America East Pre-Championships (24:30), finished second at the New England championships (24:21) and 16th at the NCAA Regionals (30:23.7).
AS A SENIOR IN 2009

Placed second and was BU's top finisher at the season-opening Dartmouth Invitational (26:14) ... Won the Ted Owen Invitational (25:39) ... Finished first among BU runners and 13th overall at the New England championships (25:03).
