    Men's Track and Field Assistant Coach

Eric Ashe was promoted to assistant coach in 2012 after he joined the track & field staff in 2011 as a volunteer assistant coach. He enjoyed a decorated career as a Terrier, including the 2010-11 season as a graduate student.


AS A SENIOR IN 2009-10

During the indoor season, competed in the mile run at the BU Multi-Team Meet (4:17.75) and Battle of Beantown (third/4:13.58)... Ran in the 3,000-meter run at the Terrier Invitational (8:16.61) and AE championships (second/8:22.00) ... Earned all-conference honors ... In the outdoor season, competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Carolina Classic (third/9:26.23), Solomon Invitational (first/9:17.70), AE championships (second/9:02.76), IC4A Championships (8:54.01) and NCAA East Regional (9:03.53)... Participated in the 1,500-meter run at the AE championships (3:53.21) and New England Championships (3:53.18)

AS A JUNIOR IN 2008-09

A captain of the cross country team ... Won the Ted Owen Invitational ... Finished second at the Dartmouth Invitational ... Placed 13th at the New England Championship.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007-08

Won the steeplechase at the America East Outdoor Championship with an 8:51.33 ... Part of the winning 4x800m relay team (7:40.21) at the outdoor championship ... Finished second in the 3,000m at the America East Indoor Championship with a personal-best 8:18.84 mark and ran a 4:10.99 mile.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07

Set a career best at the America East Indoor Championship, running the mile in 4:10.77 ... Was also part of the first-place 4x800m relay team (7:38.27) at the conference meet ... During the outdoors season, he ran 9:03 for the steeplechase - the best time for an 18-year-old in the US for that year ... Qualified to represent the USA in the Pan American Games for Juniors by finishing second at the US Junior Nationals in the steeplechase.

BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School ... As a junior, ran his best time of the year in the 5k (17:07) ... In spring track the same year, placed 14th in the Mass. State Mile (4:33) ... During his senior year, finished eighth in the Mass. State meet with a time of 16:20 in the 5k ... Ran the 600 in 1:24, the 1000 in 2:34 and placed third in the Mass. State Mile with a time of 4:19 ... During the spring season, earned second in the Mass. State Mile with a time of 4:15.92 ... Was a captain all three seasons.
