Kristin Weisse was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services at Boston University in July 2022 and was promoted to Associate Athletic Director in 2024.

Weisse leads the academic support unit for the department, which serves more than 600 student-athletes. She oversees a three-person full-time staff, in addition to tutors, who all guide Terriers through their degree programs, including course planning and eligibility, while building relationships with faculty and staff throughout campus.

Weisse, a native of East Longmeadow, Mass., came to BU from Wake Forest, where she had most recently served as an academic counselor and tutor coordinator for the Demon Deacons since 2015. She worked closely with men's and women's track & field and cross country, women's soccer and men's golf, monitoring the athletes' academic performance while helping them fulfill their undergraduate requirements.

She arrived in Winston-Salem as a graduate student in 2013 and worked in the University Writing Center, mentoring students throughout campus. She joined the athletic department a year later as an assistant in the student-athlete development department and also spent a year working as a resume reviewer for the Office of Personal & Career Development.

A member of Wake Forest's cross country and indoor track teams as a graduate student, Weisse headed to Winston-Salem after graduating from UConn, where she competed on the Huskies' club cross country team.

Weisse earned dual bachelor degrees in English and psychology from UConn in 2013 before receiving her master's in English from Wake Forest in 2015.
