After posting a perfect singles record and helping lead the Boston University women’s tennis team to its fourth-straight Patriot League title, senior Barbara Rodriguez has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Rodriguez went 3-of-3 in singles action, collecting all three points in straight sets at line 3. She first rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win against Loyola Maryland and then held off Navy in a 6-4, 7-5 victory.
In Sunday’s title match, she capped off the weekend with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Army West Point to earn PL Tournament MVP honors.Â
