After leading the Boston University softball team to three victories from the circle with an impressive 0.90 ERA, freshman Ali Dubois has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Torrington, Connecticut, native first tallied five strikeouts in a 6-2 win over 2017 MAC runner-up Northern Illinois to become the first Terrier rookie since 2011 to open a season with a complete-game victory. She then pitched the final three innings in relief in a 7-4 victory over Duke and most impressively posted seven strikeouts to beat Michigan State, 3-0, for the Terriers’ first shutout against a major conference opponent since 2012.

In a combined 20.0 innings of work, she held opposing hitters to a .237 average and finished with 15 strikeouts.
