Freshman Erica Di Battista improved to 13-1 in singles action with a 6-3, 6-1 upset victory over Syracuse’s No. 64 nationally-ranked Guzal Yusupova. Her victory was BU’s biggest win since Johanna Hyoty (’16) defeated Boston College’s No. 61 Jessica Wacnik in 2015

Di Battista already won the first two Patriot League Player of the Week awards and previously reached the Round of 16 in doubles at the ITA Northeast Regionals with junior Alex Angyalosy.
