Zhangcheng Guo captained the golf team to one of its best seasons in program history in 2019-20, highlighted by a victory at the season-opening William & Mary Invitational and a third-place finish at the 53-team Kiawah Island Classic. Guo saved her best golf for what was her final tournament, leading the Terriers with nine birdies at the River Landing Classic to finish in a tie for 16th with a score of 223 (74-76-73).

A two-time All-Patriot League selection, Guo has posted back-to-back top-10 finishes at the Patriot League Championship. She recorded a tournament-low two-under 70 in the final round of the 2019 conference tournament to help the Terriers claim their second Patriot League title.

A native of Beijing, China, Guo carded a career-low 69 in the final round of the 2018 Yale Intercollegiate to finish tied for fourth with a career-best score of 216 (73-74-69), which is tied for the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history.

"As our captain, Zhangcheng provided excellent leadership for the golf team all year," head coach Bruce Chalas said. "She was off to a tremendous start this spring as she had a 74 scoring average at our first two spring events."
