Following her victory at the Yale Intercollegiate, freshman Hanako Kawasaki of the golf team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Playing in just her third collegiate tournament, Kawasaki fired a final-round 67 (-4) to claim a one-shot victory and help BU earn the team title. Kawasaki began the weekend with an even-par 71 on Friday before shooting 73 on Saturday.  She made no bogeys on Sunday and charged up the leaderboard thanks to three straight birdies on 14, 15 and 16.

Kawasaki’s 54-hole total of 211 broke Adela Cejnarova’s program record of 216 by five shots. The freshman finished the fall with a team-low average of 73.75 over eight rounds.
