BOSTON ??? Boston University women???s ice hockey player Gina Kearns (Norwood, Pa.) earned ITECH Rookie of the Week honors for posting three goals and two assists while leading the Terriers (2-1-1, 0-1-0 HE) to a 2-0-1 record in the past week. Kearns, who leads the team with six points (4-2), had a goal and an assist against Union College in the first victory in program history on Friday, Oct. 14.

Kearns??? award marks two consecutive weeks BU has had the Rookie of the Week, as fellow freshman Allyse Wilcox earned the award last week. Captain Cara Hendry made the league Honor Roll for her goal and three assists in the weekend series with Union. Her lone goal was the game-winning goal in the program's first victory Friday.

A new era in the BU ??? BC rivalry begins tomorrow night as the Terriers host the Eagles for the teams??? first meeting at the Division I level at Walter Brown Arena at 7 p.m.
