Hauser Wins Fourth America East Rookie of the Week Award

BOSTON - For the fourth time this season, freshman attacker Jenny Hauser (Alexandria, VA) was selected as the America East Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday, April 18. She was also named National Rookie of the Week by Womenslacrosse.com.

Hauser tallied nine goals in the Terriers' two wins last week.

To open the week, Hauser had a hat trick in B.U.'s 10-8 upset win over No. 4 Georgetown on April 11.

Hauser then scored a game-high six goals off six shots in the Terriers' 20-3 victory over conference rival Binghamton on April 17.

The 5-3 attacker also had four draw controls, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers in the two games.

On the season, Hauser leads the Terriers in goals (34) and is tied for first in points (43).

With its two wins last week, B.U. (11-1, 3-0) moved up to sixth on the latest IWLCA Coaches Poll. Its the highest ranking for fourth-year head coach Liza Shoemaker and tied for the highest ranking in program history. B.U. was also ranked sixth in the nation in March of 2001.

B.U. plays a pair of conference road games this week. The Terriers take on the Catamounts of Vermont on Wednesday, April 20, and the Seawolves of Stony Brook on Saturday, April 23. Both games are scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
