BOSTON - Boston University students, supporters, and alumni have the unique opportunity to nominate their all-time favorite athletes for induction into the athletic hall of fame. A committee will determine the final slate of nominees to be considered for induction into the 2008 class. Nominations should be forwarded to the Boston University Athletic Department, 285 Babcock St., Boston, MA. 02215.

The chosen athletes will have their name inscribed on a plaque beside Boston University sports legends like Mickey Cochrane, Mike Eruzione, and Mary Pratt. The 48th annual induction banquet is set to take place during an exciting January weekend, when the men's and women's hockey teams will play back-to-back games at the Agganis Arena.

Last year, Alison Caito (field hockey), Francis Okaroh (men's soccer), Heidi Steiber (women's tennis) and Chris Studer (wrestling) were inducted into the Hall of Fame in honor of their efforts during their tenure at Boston University.

Please submit the name, sport, year of graduation, and supporting documentation for your favorite athlete, by Oct. 1, 2007 to Sonya Arruda at sarruda@bu.edu. The honorees will be announced in November, with the induction ceremony taking place in January 2008.
