BOSTON -
The next installment of "BU All-Access," the official insider's perspective on Boston University Athletics, will air on the Terriers' flagship radio station, WWZN-AM 1510 "The Zone," at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008. The show will broadcast live at "The Roof" to promote BU's first-ever WHITE OUT, where fans are asked to "Unite by Wearing White" and support the Terriers at tonight's televised men's basketball game. The first 1,000 fans at tonight's game will receive an official WHITE OUT t-shirt.
The 45-minute show, hosted by Bernie Corbett and featuring Doug Brown and Brian Maurer, will originate from courtside at "the Roof" in Case Gymnasium. Guests will include men's basketball coach Dennis Wolff, women's basketball coach Kelly Greenberg, wrestling coach Carl Adams, women's basketball student-athlete Kristi Dini and Director of Athletics Mike Lynch.
"Terrier Nation deserves the chance to hear about not just our men's hockey team, but how each of our 23 varsity teams are faring," said Lynch. "Broadcasting "BU All-Access" on 'The Zone' offers our athletic department the opportunity to share the many success stories about all of our 500-plus student-athletes and their coaches."
"BU All-Access" will be followed immediately by the pre-game show and play-by-play broadcast of the Terriers' men's basketball home game against Albany. "BU All-Access" will continue to air regularly throughout the season, with future dates and times to be announced.
All regular-season, Beanpot, and postseason BU men's ice hockey and men's basketball games can be heard live on "The Zone," a 50,000-watt AM station. The only exception will occur when both teams compete at the same time. In addition to broadcasting on terrestrial radio, "The Zone" streams live online at www.1510thezone.com .
Corbett is calling his 23rd straight season of Terrier Hockey, and is joined on those broadcasts by 1988 co-captain Tom Ryan, who enters his 15th season on the broadcast. Doug Brown is in his third consecutive season as the play-by-play voice for BU basketball, and his 17th overall (Brown also was the voice of Terrier Basketball from 1981-1995). Brown is joined by Mike Shalin, in his second season calling Terrier Hoops.
