PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Sophomore Ana Johnson shot a 78 on day two to finish tied for 12th overall as the Boston University women's golf team placed 14th at the Rutgers Invitational. The Terriers improved their team total on day two, carding a 336, to jump two spots in the final standings.

BU shot a 360 on day one and a 336 on day two to finish with a 696 after two rounds at the Rutgers University Golf Course.

Johnson, who was sitting in 17th after the first day, leaped into 12th after her second-day showing to finish with a 158 at the invitational. Senior Lauren Stong also improved by two strokes on day two to finish with a 176, good for 61st overall. Freshman Courtney Dampolo (96-85--181), sophomore Dana DeStefano (96-86--182) and freshman Veronica Rodriguez (95-99--194) rounded out the field for the Terriers.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, BU will take part in the Terrier Shootout in Foxboro, Mass.
