BOSTON - After hitting .500 with three doubles, one triple, two home runs and eight RBI, junior Melissa Dubay has been named this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week. She drove in the game-winning runs against St. Peter's and Vermont to help the Boston University softball team improve to 14-11 overall and 3-0 in America East action.

Dubay was 10-for-20 in the batter's box, reaching extra bases on six of her 10 hits. After falling to CCSU in the first game of the week, the Auburn, Wash., native jump-started the Terriers' six-game win streak with a double that plated the tying run in the second game versus the Blue Devils. BU went on to win the game 6-3 and followed it up with sweeps of St. Peter's and Vermont.

She concluded her impressive offense performance last week with an RBI triple in the final game against the Catamounts.

BU will host Providence and Rhode Island on Wednesday and Thursday at BU Softball Field. Both games are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
