SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Boston University golf team improved four spots from the first round to take top honors at the Jack Leaman Women's Golf Championship on Sunday afternoon in South Hadley, Mass. The Terriers shot a 333 on day two to claim first place with a two-day total of 690. Kaitlyn Mardeusz finished third overall, shooting a 165.

Mardeusz improved by seven strokes on day two to improve her final positioning after shooting an 86 on day one, she carded a 79 on day two to finished with 165. Ana Johnson also had a standout afternoon, shooting a 79 on day two to finish tied for seventh with a two-day total of 169. Lauren Stong finished in a tie for 22nd (89-88--177) and she was followed by Allison Hamilton in 28th (92-87--179) and Dana DeStefano (92-95--187).

On Friday, May 2 BU will return to action to defend its America East championship in Simsbury, Conn. The three-day event will conclude on Sunday, May 4.
