BOSTON - Freshman Jessica Luscinski has been named the America East Rookie of the Week following her performance against No. 19 Connecticut on Sunday afternoon. Luscinski netted the game's lone goal in the 10th minute of the contest to lift the Boston University women's soccer team over the Huskies.

In her first career start, Luscinski came through with the game-winning goal - her first collegiate tally - in the Terriers' upset victory in Storrs, Conn. Luscinski received a cross from junior Emily Pallotta from the far left side and connected with the feed to slide it into the near right side. The win was BU's first over a ranked opponent since the 2006 season when it took down three separate nationally ranked foes - No. 19 Boston College, No. 3 Santa Clara and No. 22 Maine.

Luscinski is a native of Bedford, N.H., where she holds ten offensive school records at Trinity High School and is in the New Hampshire state record books twice.
