Sophomore thrower Jan Bicanic was named MVP of the 2007-08 Boston University men's track and field teams. A conference champion in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, Bicanic qualified for the NCAA regional championship in the spring.

In his first season with the Terriers after transferring from McNeese State, the Croatian native was the shot put champion at the America East Indoor Championship with a 16.37m throw, his best of the season.
