Senior captain Lauren Morton was named MVP of the 2008 Boston University lacrosse team. An All-American and a first-team all-region selection, Morton finished second on the team in scoring with 65 points to help the Terriers capture their fourth straight America East championship.

Morton was named to the Division I All-America second team by both the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and Inside Lacrosse. She was a first-team IWLCA Division I Northeast All-Region selection and selected to the North senior all-star team. Also a second-team all-conference selection, the Glenside, Pa., native was the recipient of the Donelli Leadership Award and the Simpson Award from BU.

Starting all 21 games, Morton tallied 57 goals, including four game-winners, and added eight assists. She led the Terriers with 29 caused turnovers and also tallied 47 draw controls and 36 ground balls in her senior campaign.

Morton ended her career with a 63-16 record over her four seasons with the Terriers, including a 22-2 record in America East play. She finished her career with 182 draw controls to set the BU program record.
