BOSTON - On Saturday afternoon, the Boston University swimming and diving program swept Colgate with a 190-105 victory on the men's side and a 184-118 win for the women. The women's team picked up 11 first-place finishes, while the men took 12, including three from Kyle Ernst.

From the opening whistle, the men's team came out the gates on a mission winning the 200-medley relay. Bryon Kallert, Kyle Ernst, Daniel Kemp and Jackson Hill touched in 1:35.26. The individual races kept the momentum in BU's favor as they earned XX victories over the course of the meet.

In the distance events, Tyson Slesnick got things going, as he led a 1-2 finish in the 1,000 free with a time of 9:42.71, followed by Ben Kaiser in 9:49.99. Mark Nakanishi and Riley Kammer duplicated the results in the 200 free as Nakanishi recorded a winning time of 1:46.60 and Kammer touched in 1:46.69

Bryon Kallert won his first individual race of the afternoon as he took top honors in the 100 back with a time of 52.12 and followed it up with a first-place finish in the 100 free (46.89).

A sweep of the 100 breaststroke further set BU apart as Kyle Ernst (57.53), Slesnick (1:00.27) and Nate Everett (1:02.01) took first, second and third. Ernst picked up his second individual win later on in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:06.48 and a third in the 200 IM (1:55.66).

Justin Gilmartin picked up his first individual win on the afternoon as he and Ben Kaiser claimed first and second in the 200 back with times of 1:55.66 and 1:59.78, respectively. Matt Rickett and Kempf took first and second in the 100 fly with times of 50.99 and 51.95.

On the diving events, Tanner Knorr won the 1M (274.75) and the 3M (326.35),while Jake Frankenfield took second on the 3M (208.75).

The Terriers return to the pool on Saturday (Nov. 14) when they host Texas A&M at 1:30 pm at Competition Pool.
