In a weekend filled with record-breaking performances, sophomore Matt Rickett, this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week, made waves at the 2009 America East Swimming and Diving Championships with two individual records and provisionally qualified for the NCAAs in the 100 fly.

Rickett was named the meet's Most Outstanding Swimmer after standing atop the podium in two individual races and four relay events as he helped the Terriers to a second-place finish at the conference championships.

Rickett broke the conference and school record in the 100 fly with the 11th-best time in the nation this year and provisionally qualified for NCAAs, clocking in at 46.43. Prior to that race, he won the 50 free in a school record time of 20.08. The 400-free relay team of Rickett, Daniel Kempf, Arik Seiler and Jackson Hill has also provisionally qualified for the NCAAs with a school and conference record time of 3:16.95.

In addition, the Portland, Maine native, was a part of three other relays that broke school and conference records - the 400-medley relay (3:16.95), the 200 medley relay (1:29.11) and the 200-free relay (1:20.14).
