NCAA Tournament Bracket
For the third time in the last four seasons, the Boston University lacrosse team will face Penn in the NCAA tournament, as the bracket for the 2010 NCAA Championship was announced Sunday evening on CBS College Sports. The Terriers will travel to face the eighth-seeded Quakers in a first-round match-up on Saturday (May 15) at 1 p.m. The game will be held at Draper Walsh Stadium at Immaculata University in Malvern, Pa.
BU (11-8) will be making its sixth straight NCAA appearance and eighth overall after posting an 11-10 victory over UMBC in Saturday's America East title game. The victory secured the Terriers' sixth consecutive conference championship.
The Terriers also visited Penn in the 2007 and 2008 NCAA tournaments, most recently dropping an 8-5 contest in the 2008 quarterfinals. In 2007, the Quakers came away with a 11-5 first-round victory.
Penn (14-3) was an automatic qualifier for this year's NCAA tournament after winning the inaugural Ivy League tournament last weekend with a 9-8 victory over Dartmouth in the title game. The Quakers, who went 7-0 in conference play during the regular season, topped Princeton, 13-9, in the semfinals.
