Senior co-captain Haley Robinson was named the most valuable player for the 2009 Boston University field hockey team after anchoring the Terrier defense and helping the squad capture its fourth America East championship in the last five years.
Robinson, an All-Conference First Team defender, was named the Most Outstanding Player of the America East tournament following the Terriers' 5-2 victory over defending champion and top-seeded Albany in the championship game.
A starter in each of her final 66 games as a Terrier, Robinson set career highs in points (9) and assists (7) as a senior while also setting a single-game personal best with four points (1g, 2a) against Sacred Heart.
