Jeff Moreau garnered the Boston University’s men’s track and field most valuable player award after winning two races during the indoor season and securing six top-10 finishes in individual races throughout the indoor and outdoor seasons.
In his first race of the season, Moreau set the stage for an impressive senior campaign as he placed second in the 1,000-meter run in the Terriers’ meet with UMass and Sacred Heart. At the Battle of Beantown, Moreau set a meet record (1:52.05) and qualified for the IC4A Championships with a victory in the 800-meter run.
In his last three 800-meter runs of the season, Moreau placed no lower than ninth. He followed a ninth-place finish at the Valentine Invitational with a win at the America East Championships. Moreau concluded his indoor season at the IC4A Championships, where he placed sixth.
While only competing in two meets during the outdoor season, Moreau was the top Terrier in both of his 800-meter runs. He finished eighth at the Carolina Classic while securing a fourth-place finish at the America East Championships.
