MILFORD, Conn. - Freshman Kristyna Pavlickova of the Boston University golf team erased a five-stroke deficit entering the second round to win the Sacred Heart Fall Classic, which concluded on Monday afternoon.

She posted a two-day score of 155 (79-76) to claim the top spot, winning by one stroke over Long Island's Anna Palsson (74-82--156) and two strokes over fellow classmate Flor Canedo (81-76--157). By finishing ahead of 41 other golfers, Pavlickova became the first Terrier to win an individual title since the 2007 America East Championship.

As a team, the Terriers finished fourth with a combined two-day score of 686 (350-336). BU dropped 14 shots in the second round for the second-lowest score of the afternoon to finish three behind Monmouth (336-347--683) with Hartford (697), Central Connecticut St. (711), Quinnipiac (770) and Holy Cross (785) rounding out the field.

Sacred Heart (327-334--661) won the team title with Long Island placing second at 673 (330-343).

In other individual results, senior Courtney Dampolo had a strong Monday round to finish 25th (94-89--183), while classmate Jill Eelman took 30th (96-95--191).

Pavlickova's victory closed out the fall season for BU, as the Terriers will next tee off in March.
