BOSTON - The Boston University lacrosse team will look to rebound from its season-opening loss when it visits Brown on Tuesday (March 1) at Berylson Family Fields. Game time is set at 4 p.m. for BU's first of four games against an Ivy League opponent.

The Terriers (0-1) opened their season on Wednesday against intrastate rival Massachusetts for the eighth straight year. After BU took a 12-10 lead with 6:06 remaining in the game, the Minutewomen scored three goals in the final 4:58, including the final goal with five ticks on the clock, to account for the 13-12 final.

Senior Rachel Collins and junior Hannah Frey, who collected a career-high four goals against Brown in 2010, scored three goals each. Senior Erica Baumgartner (1g, 4a), junior Molly Swain (2g, 2a) and sophomore Danielle Etrasco (1g, 1a) also registered multi-point games.

With four helpers against UMass, Baumgartner has continued her climb up the program's all-time assists list. She now has 93 assists to sit fourth on the all-time list, just two away from Alyssa Trudel ('05) for third most in program history.

Brown will enter Tuesday's matchup with a 1-0 record after rolling past Sacred Heart, 21-8, on Saturday. Kaela McGilloway and Bre Hudgins paced the Bears with five goals each, while Paris Waterman (3), Lindsay Minges (2) and Grace Healy (2) also netted multi-goal games.

BU is 5-9 all-time against Brown and has won the past four meetings. Last season, the Terriers defeated the Bears, 9-5, at Nickerson Field. In their last meeting at Berylson Family Fields, BU earned a 16-4 win on March 5, 2008.
