Women's Golf Moves into Fourth Place at MAAC Championships

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - After two days of competition, the Boston University women's golf team has moved into fourth place at the 2011 MAAC Women's Golf Championship. BU carded a 349 on day two to bring its team total to 688 after 36 holes.

Senior Ana Johnson maintains her 11th-place spot as she shot an 85 in the second round for a two-day total of 169. Junior Courtney Dampolo moved into a tie with senior Dana DeStefano for 15th as she carded an 86 and DeStefano an 88. Both players have shot a 172 after 36 holes.

Freshman Christine Silen is in 22nd with a second-round total of 91 to bring her weekend total to 176, while junior Jill Eelman improved by nine strokes to card a 90 to improve to 25th overall. Eelman has shot 189 over two rounds.

BU will finish up the MAAC Championships on Sunday (May 1) at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.
