HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston University women's golf team finished seventh overall at the 2011 Dartmouth Invitational in its first invite of the 2011-12 year, shooting a 671 over two days.

"Courtney came through and made a dangerous 15 footer on Sunday to shoot an 83, and Jill played very steady over this weekend as well," said head coach Bruce Chalas. "Kristyna was another who played consistently all weekend. She’s a fine player, one of the top players in her country and she comes here with a lot of amateur tournament experience."

Freshman Kristyna Pavlickova finished 10th overall with a two-round total of 162 (81-81) to finish atop the Terriers' leaderboard. Classmate Flor Canedo placed 17th (75-89--164), followed by senior Jill Eelman (89-86--175) in 39th, and senior Courtney Dampolo (93-83--176) and freshman Christina Patracuolla (89-87--176) in a tie for 43rd.

"Flor stunned the field when she shot a 75 on the first day," continued Chalas. "She’s got a wealth of experience and will add extra depth to the program. Christina could be the surprise of the fall. With more tournament experience, she can quickly round into a strong, long-hitting player for the team.”

BU returns to the links on Sunday, Oct. 2 at the ECAC Championships in Egg Harbour, N.J.
