WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Freshman forward Kayla Tutino (Lorraine, Que.) was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week and the women's hockey team received Team of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday.

Tutino was instrumental in the Terriers' 2-1 win at Maine on Sunday, as she scored the game-winning goal and assisted on the first goal of the game. The rookie sensation has now lit the lamp in three straight games and leads the team with 12 goals.

This was the second time Tutino was named Rookie of the Week and the third time she has been recognized by the league for her strong play, as she earned a Player of the Week nod on Nov. 21.

The Terriers were the only Hockey East team to finish the week unbeaten to claim Team of the Week honors for the first time this season. They held the Black Bears to one power play goal in five chances and outshot Maine, 27-24.

BU will look to complete the season sweep of the Black Bears this weekend when the Terriers welcome Maine to Walter Brown Arena. Both games (Saturday and Sunday) are slated to start at 3 p.m.
