The Boston University women’s hockey team will hit the road on Thursday night, as the Terriers trek to New Hampshire for a conference clash with the Wildcats. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.

BU (11-11-1, 6-6-0 WHEA) is looking to snap a two-game losing streak after a weekend sweep at the hands of Maine. The Terriers have been quite successful at the Whittemore Center of late, as they are 2-0-2 in their last four games there, including a 3-1 win on Feb. 5, 2011.

The Terriers are led offensively by senior captain and former Wildcat Jenn Wakefield, who has compiled a six game point streak (1g, 6a) and leads BU in points (27) and assists (16). Freshman forward Kayla Tutino leads the Terriers with 12 goals and is second with 19 points. Senior defenseman Tara Watchorn has also been a consistent point-getter of late, as she has accumulated an assist in four of her last five games.

New Hampshire (8-13-3, 2-7-2 WHEA) snapped a four-game losing streak last weekend with a pair of wins against Connecticut. Sophomore forward Nicole Gifford leads the Wildcats in goals (8), assists (11) and points (19). Juniors Kristine Horn and Kristina Lavoie each have eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points.

After Thursday’s tilt, the Terriers will return to Boston for the first of four straight home games when Vermont visits Walter Brown Arena on Saturday afternoon. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
