BOSTON – After helping the Boston University women’s soccer team capture its sixth straight America East regular season title, three Terriers have earned National Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region honors, the organization announced on Dec. 3.

The trio of Terriers received All-Northeast Region honors for the first time in their careers. Senior Jessica Morrow, an NSCAA Third Team All-American earned a spot on the All-Region First Team while junior Emma Clark received Second Team honors. Fellow junior Madison Clemens was named to the Third Team. BU led all America East teams with three honorees.

In her 18 seasons as head coach, Nancy Feldman has now guided 31 Terriers to All-Region accolades with 10 players receiving the honors multiple times during their careers. Feldman guided the Terriers to a 12-6-1 overall record in 2012 and a perfect 8-0 mark in the America East en route to capturing the program’s sixth straight, and 10th overall, regular season title.

Banned from the America East tournament due to the school’s move to the Patriot League in 2013, the Terriers were unable to compete for their sixth consecutive America East championship crown and the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament

Morrow, a senior co-captain, concluded her career with NSCAA All-America honors and a spot on the All-Region First Team. The 2012 America East Defensive Player of the Year anchored BU’s defense that allowed just four goals in eight conference games for BU to lead the league with a 0.49 goals-against average. The Terriers shut out five of its eight conference opponents, and eight foes overall.

Morrow started every game for BU in the center back position and also contributed on the offensive end, as her five assists ranked fourth in the conference and tied for first on the team.

Clark earned her spot on the All-Region Second Team after becoming the fifth straight Terrier to be named America East Midfielder of the Year. She started all 19 games for BU and finished the season with four goals to rank second on the team, including the game-winning tally at Hartford that put BU alone atop the league standings. Clark also added an assist to her state line to finish second on the team with nine points.

Clemens received All-Region Third Team accolades following a breakout junior campaign. The America East All-Conference First Team honoree finished the season with eight goals, which was tops on the Terriers and ranked fourth in the conference. Clemens allowed BU to extend its winning streak over America East opponents to 32 straight games with her first career multi-goal performance in BU’s 2-1 overtime victory at Vermont.
