The Boston University women’s lacrosse team will begin a three-game homestand on Wednesday as the Terriers host No. 20 Boston College at Nickerson Field. Opening draw is slated for 4 p.m.

Wednesday’s contest is the Terriers’ Breast Cancer Awareness Game. There will be a pink t-shirt giveaway and raffles with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure.

BU (8-4, 4-0 America East) is on a seven-game win streak, its longest such streak since the Terriers won 13 in a row in 2009. The streak continued on Saturday at Albany, as the Terriers outscored the Great Danes, 12-2, in the second half to earn a 16-11 victory.

The Terriers are 11-6-1 all-time against BC (6-7, 1-4 ACC) and 5-3 since the 2004 season. Under head coach Liz Robertshaw, BU has gone 3-2 against the Eagles, including a 3-1 mark at Nickerson Field. BC defeated BU, 10-7, last season.

Freshman attack Mallory Collins was named America East Rookie of the Week on Monday after an impressive two-game stretch. In a 13-8 win over New Hampshire last Wednesday, she scored four goals and had one assist. Collins followed that up with a five-goal, one assist performance at Albany on Saturday. She leads all NCAA rookies with 3.17 goals per game and her 38 goals are tops among America East freshmen.

Junior Danielle Etrasco leads BU with 42 goals and 56 points. Senior Catie Tilton has 31 assists to top the squad. Etrasco’s 36 draw controls lead the Terriers, with sophomore Sydney Godett (21) and senior Annie Stookesberry (17) in second and third, respectively, in that category. Sophomore goalkeeper Christina Sheridan has gathered a team-high 35 ground balls, with Godett (18) and Stookesberry (17) next best.

Sheridan has started all 12 games for the Terriers. She owns an 11.18 goals-against average and a .411 save percentage. Sheridan also collected her first collegiate assist on Saturday at Albany.

BC enters Wednesday’s game having lost three of its last four games, including a 12-11 defeat at No. 6 Duke on Saturday. The other two losses in that stretch were also against ranked opponents, as the Eagles dropped a 9-8 decision against No. 3 North Carolina and suffered a 12-10 setback at No. 9 Virginia.

The Eagles are led on offense by graduate student Kristin Igoe, who has a team-best 36 goals and 43 points. Freshman Covie Stanwick leads the Eagles with 18 assists and is second with 40 points. Time in the cage has been split between Freshman Emily Mata and senior Catherine Conway. Mata (3-4) has played in 11 games and has posted a 10.98 goals-against average along with a .414 save percentage. Conway (3-3) has a 12.59 GAA and a .30 save percentage in 10 games played.

Following Wednesday’s contest, the Terriers will look to clinch the America East regular-season crown on Saturday when they host Stony Brook at Nickerson Field. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
