Stanford Invitational Results | Florida Relays Results | George Davis Invitational Results
The Boston University men’s track & field team competed at three different events this past weekend. The Terriers sent athletes to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla., and the George Davis Invitational in Lowell, Mass.
At the Stanford Invitational, sophomore Rich Peters finished fourth in the 5000m run, completing the race with a time of 13:56.89.
At the Florida Relays, junior R.J. Page (10.68) and senior Matt Pereira (11.04) each competed in the 100m dash. Page also ran in the 200m dash, turning in a 19th-place finish (20.98). Seniors Tewado Latty (47.15) and Joel Senick (48.44) each ran in the 400m dash, with Latty placing 17th in that event. Freshman Stuart Ross finished the 800m run with a time of 1:53.53. Senior Balint Horvath ran the 1500m in 4:01.63, Junior Stephen Vitale claimed 13th place in the 400m hurdles (52.02) and junior Sam Wuest placed 12th in the high jump (2.00m).
The Terriers also competed in two relay races, as BU finished 13th in the 4x800m relay (7:43.71) and had a 13th-place showing in the 4x400m relay (3:08.91).
BU had several top-10 finishers at the George Davis Invitational. Sophomore Connor Sullivan led the way with a second-place showing in the high jump (2.00m). In other field events, freshman Ethan Knight was third in the discus (44.47m) and seventh in the shot put (13.66m). Senior Jeff Pelage was also strong in the discus, as he was seventh (43.31m).
Junior Adam Weaver was ninth in the pole vault (4.00m) and junior Sam Arsenault was 10th in the long jump (6.25m). Freshman Michael Maloof placed sixth in hammer throw (46.78m) and senior Michael Murowchick finished fifth in the javelin (50.57).On the track, junior Brian Leonard was strong in the 400m dash, as he finished fifth with a time of 51.26 seconds.
BU will be back in action on April 14 when the Terriers take part in the Brown Invitational in Providence, R.I.
