BROOKLINE, Mass. - The No. 23 Boston University women's soccer team posted its second straight shutout with a 3-0 victory over crosstown rival Northeastern at Parsons Field on Sunday night. The Terriers improved to 2-0-0 on the season while the Huskies drop to 0-1-0.

Junior goalkeeper Andrea Green recorded her second shutout in as many games as she stood tall for 90 minutes in net and made four saves.

Freshman Jenna Fisher scored the first goal of her collegiate career off a corner kick from sophomore Ana Cuffia in the 57th minute to get the Terriers on the board after a scoreless first half.

Junior Madison Clemens then tallied her first goal of the season off a cross from sophomore Taylor Krebs in the 63rd minute. Krebs dished the assist from the right side and Clemens fired a one-timer right in front of NU's keeper.

BU's third goal came from the foot of Jamie Turchi as the sophomore tallied her second goal of the season in the 75th minute when senior Brea Hewitt fed her from the left of the box. Turchi fired the ball to the back of the net to give BU a 3-0 lead.

BU ended the game holding a 20-12 shot advantage with nine shots on goal. NU tested Green twice in the first half before firing four shots on goal in the second half. For the second consecutive game, the Terriers also held the advantage on corner kicks, taking eight to the Huskies' two.

Next up for the Terriers is a trip to Dayton, Ohio, to take on the Dayton Flyers on Thursday, Aug. 23. The game will kick off the women's College Game of the Week series and will be broadcast on the Fox Soccer Channel. First kick is set for 7 p.m.
