Women's Basketball Set to Hold First Practice on Sunday

BOSTON - The Boston University women’s basketball team officially kicks off the 2012-13 season on Sunday (Sept. 30) when the Terriers hold their first practice of the year in Case Gym.

Head coach Kelly Greenberg welcomes back 10 letterwinners from last year’s squad that went 23-9 (15-1 America East) and reached the Women’s National Invitation Tournament after claiming the America East regular season title.

The Terriers return their top three scorers from last season including two-time America East Player of the Year Chantell Alford, First Team All-Conference selection Mo Moran and All-Defensive and All-Conference Third Team member Rashidat Agboola. BU also welcomes four newcomers to this year’s team.

The Terriers begin the 2012-13 campaign on Friday, Nov. 9, when BU welcomes Comm Ave rival Boston College to Case Gym. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
