BOSTON – A 29-game slate featuring eight teams that reached postseason play comprises the Boston University women's basketball program's 2025-26 schedule, released to the public on Wednesday (Sept. 10).
BU plays 11 non-conference contests to supplement its 18-game Patriot League schedule. In addition to the Patriot League, the Terriers square off against programs from the MAAC, Ivy League, CAA, NEC, America East and USCAA.
The season begins at Case Gym on Monday (Nov. 3) when BU hosts Quinnipiac, who reached the WBIT after posting a 28-5 record last year. After another home tilt against Dartmouth on Nov. 7, the Terriers play three straight road contests against Northeastern, New Haven (making the jump to Division I) and Brown.
BU returns to The Roof to face UMass Lowell on Nov. 22 and Bryant on Nov. 26. Another three-game road swing takes place afterwards; BU visits Maine on Dec. 1 and then treks to ACC opponent North Carolina, who advanced to the Sweet 16 a year ago, on Dec. 7. The stretch ends on Dec. 13 at UAlbany.
The Terriers close out the non-conference docket with a home game against small college UMaine Fort Kent on Dec. 20 before Patriot League play opens in Boston against Navy on Dec. 31. BU's conference road lidlifter takes place at American on Jan. 3, 2025.
BU's regular season wraps up with a three-game homestand from Feb. 21 to March 4, with the Terriers taking on defending league champion Lehigh before matchups vs. American and Holy Cross. The 2026 Patriot League Tournament begins with the first round on March 7, leading up to the PenFed Credit Union Championship Game on March 15.
In 2024-25, BU posted 12 wins while finishing over .500 against non-conference opponents for the second consecutive year. The Terriers hosted a Patriot League Tournament contest for the seventh straight season and recorded their largest margin of victory in the postseason since joining the conference with a 75-51 triumph over Loyola Maryland.
For 2025-26, BU returns 13 letterwinners that accounted for nearly 77 percent of its scoring. Two newcomers join the program for Graves' fifth season at the helm.
