MILFORD, Conn. - The Boston University golf team finished third at the Sacred Heart Invitational this past weekend at Great River Golf Club.

BU compiled a two-day total of 649 (324-325), 10 shots behind second-place Yale and 20 shots off the pace of Seton Hall. This was the Terriers' first tournament since the Yale Intercollegiate (Sept. 20-22).

Freshman Adela Cejnarova led the team with a score of 160 (83-77) and was the only Terrier to break 80 on Monday and finish in a tie for eighth place. Sophomore Emily Tillo was tied for 10th with a score of 161 (78-83).

All five Terriers finished in the top 21, including junior Kristyna Pavlickova, who carded a 162 (79-83). Classmate Flor Canedo was tied for 16th with a 166 (84-82) and sophomore Maddy Silverman turned in a 174 (85-89) to finish in a tie for 21st. BU sank eight birdies in each round for a two-day total of 16.

The Terriers will finish their fall schedule next weekend (Oct. 27-28) at the Lehigh Invitational held at Saucon Valley County Club, which will host the 2014 Patriot League Championship.
