HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston University golf team finished second at the Dartmouth Invitational after a historic weekend at the Hanover Country Club.

The Terriers were paced by four players shooting 79 or better in each round, including three players who finished the tournament tied for fourth. BU also combined to shoot under 300 for the first time in program history with a 298 on Saturday. The Terriers followed with a 300 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 598, 17 shots clear of third-place Dartmouth. Yale won the 11-team tournament with a score of 575.

Individual history was also made thanks to sophomore Emily Tillo and junior Kristyna Pavlickova. They became the first two Terriers to complete a round under par at a collegiate event thanks to each golfer shooting a two-under par 70. Tillo fired 70 on Saturday before Pavlickova repeated the feat in Sunday's final round.

Pavlickova (77-70) and Tillo (70-77) were joined in a tie for fourth by freshman Adela Cejnarova, who carded the two lowest rounds of her collegiate career over the weekend to finish with a 147. She shot 72 on Saturday before posting a 75 on Sunday. Junior Flor Canedo was also consistent as she finished the tournament with a score of 157. Senior Christine Silen improved upon her 84 on Saturday with an 82 on Sunday.

BU combined to make 30 birdies over the weekend, including 17 on Saturday. The Terriers have made 47 birdies over the first two tournaments of the season and will look to add to that total next weekend (Sept. 20-22) at the 54-hole Yale Invitational.
